Longest NH in India: Indian Government has made a lot of national highways under the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. They are skillfully managed to connect different parts of the country through well-planned and segmented roadways that lead to proper connectivity among different states.

NH 44

The NH44 covers a distance of around 3,745 km and is considered to be the longest National Highway in India. It’s originated in Srinagar (Jammu & Kashmir) and terminating in Kanyakumari (Tamilnadu). This national highway captures seven major old national highways being a part of the North-South Corridor.  The route length is a massive one indeed covering a huge distance.

NH 27

After NH 44, NH 27 is positioned 2nd longest NH in India in terms of the huge kilometers it captures.  This National Highway covers a distance of around 3,507 km.  This National Highway runs from Porbandar to Silchar.  NH 27 runs through different parts of the country including Gujrat, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh along with different other states of India.

NH 48

The total distance covered by NH 48 is around 2,807 km as per the record books. Starting from Delhi and terminating at Chennai. This national highway runs from Delhi to Jaipur which is indeed a long distance that it covers.  Capturing different parts of the country from Mangalore to Nelamangala this extensive route has a very good road construct with beautifying sightseeing on both sides.

NH 30

The National Highway 30 runs around a span of 2,010 km and considered one of the primary national highways of the country. Connecting Sitarganj in Uttarakhand with Ibrahimpatnam in Andhra Pradesh, the highway has different junction spots in the interim including that of Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana as well.

This highway is considered to be the longest national highway in northeast India. The span of this highway is huge passing through the different states, Assam, Meghalaya, and Mizoram as well.

NH 53

The National Highway 53 or in short called NH 53 covers a distance of around 1,781 km via highway covering a huge distance from Hajira in Gujarat ending in Odisha. There are different states through which this NH 53 passes through forming a great base for travel.  States like Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Odisha are some of the main juncture points of NH 53.

NH 16

National Highway 16 or in short form NH 16 is a part of the famous Golden Quadrilateral road project. It captures a distance of around 1,659 km officially that captures the east coast of West Bengal, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu attaching in one string.  This highway covers a distance of 1,659 km and connects different important junctures including cities and towns. The NH 16 terminates itself at Chennai in Tamil Nadu.

NH 66

National Highway 66 passes through some of the major cities and is one of the busiest national highways of India. The list of places through which the highway has passed includes that of Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu. The roads are very well built that would provide a journey that is worth remembering due to its scenic beauty.  The NH 66 connects Cape Comorin with Panvel easily.

Speaking about NH 19, it covers up a distance of about 1,435 km officially.  National Highway 19 is one of the finest highways in India.  It is one of the busiest National Highways in India as well.  Running through the major cities of Delhi, Agra, Varanasi, Barhi, Asansol, and Kolkata, it one of the prime routes that joint Delhi with Kolkata.
